Otra Vida left Puerto Montt in January 2017 and arrived in Puerto Williams in April 2017. Later we sailed in the Beagle Channel a few times in winter, with the boat remaining in Puerto Williams at the legendary Micalvi Yacht Club when not sailing.
We left southern Patagonia in late September 2017, heading north to Puerto Natales. Otra Vida spent the summer anchored in Puerto Consuelo, and left there to sail north to Valdivia in February 2018, arriving in May 2018.
Sailing in Patagonia is exceptional in so many ways. The scenery, remoteness and beauty are not easy to put into words. The sailing is challenging, the anchoring even more so. Overall: unforgettable.
